I. Defoaming mechanism of silicone defoamer
Foam is a dispersion system in which a large number of bubbles are dispersed in a liquid continuous phase. The dispersed phase is a gas, and a layer of aligned surfactant molecules is adsorbed on the surface of the bubble. When it reaches a certain concentration, a bubble is formed on the bubble wall. The film is layered and its surface tension is lowered, thereby increasing the gas-liquid contact surface, so that the formed bubbles are less likely to merge and rupture, and the bubble film exposed to the air has a bimolecular film structure. Defoamer is to destroy the inhibition, the formation of gas-liquid film, so the defoamer must be easy to spread on the surface of the solution, easy to enter the bi-molecular orientation film of the foam, destroy the mechanical balance of the film and achieve the purpose of defoaming.
Generally, organic compounds, such as hydrocarbons, ethers, alcohols, and phosphates, have a small spreading factor and are chemically inert. Simple silicone oil has no antifoaming agent, but after emulsification, it is easy on the surface of the solution. Spreading, a small amount can achieve a good small effect. The polyether itself also has a certain defoaming and antifoaming effect. As a synergist of the silicone emulsion, it can synergize with the silicone emulsion, so that the defoaming effect is nearly doubled in the defoaming level of the original silicone emulsion.
II. Application of defoamer
Silicone defoamers are widely used in defoaming in the production processes of detergents, paper making, sugar making, electroplating, fertilizers, auxiliaries, and wastewater treatment. In the textile industry, it is used for defoaming in the process of dyeing, refining, sizing, etc.; in the food industry, it is used for defoaming in various concentration, fermentation and distillation processes; the solution of silyl ester into a solution can be used for A variety of aqueous systems for defoaming; medically, it is usually used to clear the flatulence of organs or organs in the stomach before the patient, before light and gastroscopy.
In the oil drilling process, when drilling a gas-bearing formation, hydrocarbons such as hydrocarbons, CO2, H2, and S in the formation diffuse or invade into the drilling fluid, and the circulating drilling fluid acts to agitate the generation of bubbles. In addition, the treatment fluid for drilling fluids is generally surface active, so drilling fluids are often prone to foaming. Foaming of drilling fluids can have many adverse effects on drilling engineering. Silicone defoamers will solve this problem well. In the petrochemical industry, it is also used to control or suppress air bubbles in equipment such as dry alcohol of ethylene glycol, extraction of aromatic hydrocarbons, processing of asphalt, and dewaxing of lubricating oil.
