Silicone resin (also known as polysiloxane) is a collective name for polymers composed of silicon atoms and oxygen atoms alternately connected to form a skeleton. Different organic groups are then connected to silicon atoms. The structure of the silicone resin contains both "organic groups" and "inorganic structures". This special composition and molecular structure make it combine the characteristics of organic substances with the functions of inorganic substances.

1. Production process:

Silicone resin is a kind of plastic that can be stable after being heated. Its most outstanding performance is its excellent thermal oxidation stability. After 24 hours of high temperature of 250 ° C, the weight of silicone resin lost is only 2% ~ 8% of itself. Another excellent property of silicone resin is its excellent insulation. Generally, the dielectric constant of resin is less than 3, and silicone resin can be easily reached. In addition, silicone resin has strong moisture resistance, water resistance, odor and rust resistance, and it will not be easily corroded. The only thing that is not ideal is that its solubility is too poor.

2. Application areas:

In view of the characteristics of all the silicone resins above, it is mainly used as an insulating paint, including varnishes and enamels. And use it to invade glass cloth and asbestos cloth, etc., and then make the sleeve and insulation group of the motor. In this case, a general high-voltage motor needs such a main insulator. And it can also be made into heat-resistant anticorrosive coatings and release agents.
